The Triple Courtyard House
A cold, hard exterior greets those approaching this house. Upon entrance, a complete break in appearance is perceived, a completely open and green atmosphere becomes apparent. The contrast between the outer appearance of the house and its interior is a reflection of the cultural and social factors. As privacy holds a great value within the culture, the house turns its back to theĀ public and only opens up to those within. After entering the exterior facade, a progression of courtyards is experienced. These 3 courts create a feeling of openness and outdoor experience. These courtyards are all connected to one another visually, but vary in their privacy levels. The interior court is open to the upper levels to give more openness and light to the interior of the house
